This is my final project for FT402 Production II at Boston University. I am the cinematographer for this short film responsible for all camera and lighting work. This is a fictional short film about how a girl coups with the recent loss of her mother.

BIO

I always carried a camera and a soccer ball with me everywhere I went growing up in my hometown in New Jersey. I loved filming whatever my friends and I decided to do on any given day, like riding bikes across town or going surfing at the beach, or just sitting around playing video games. I also loved kicking the soccer ball around anytime I had a chance. I always dreamed of going into the film industry and creating blockbuster films like Steven Spielberg. After I graduated high school, I went to Brookdale Community College and received an associate degree in Video Production. During my two years at Brookdale, I started to think about the career I wanted to pursue after graduating from college. I concluded I wanted to go into the field of storytelling, but I did not know what that meant. I studied film for two years, taking TV production and screenplay classes. I joined the TV Production Club at Brookdale too. I enjoyed my time at Brookdale, but I felt like something was missing from my work. I applied to several colleges, and I got accepted by Boston Univerisity into the College of Communication. Going to BU was a significant change for me for many reasons. Besides living away from home for the first time and doing my own laundry, I had to figure out what I wanted to do with my life to be a storyteller. In my first semester taking the entry-level COM classes and joining BUTV10, journalism struck me as something I needed to study. I changed my major and started taking journalism classes the following semester. After my first year at BU, I concluded that documentary filmmaking is where I want to start my career. I love being a reporter going out and talking to people, and I love creating visual content. Visual content being anything from a video news package to working on a film set in a studio.
